If you want the absolute most natural and patinated look for your Remmen you only have to use it a lot. The natural fats and waxes from the vegetable tanning will dissolve from the heat from your hands and dirt, water and grease will in time give your Remmen a unique look, much like old leather belts.
For maximum durability we recommend that you treat your Remmen with a gentle leather conditioner every now and then. Remember to clean your Remmen first and wipe off any excess conditioner to not clog the pores of the leather.
Please note that the Remmen ”Natural” will darken faster if treated with leather conditioner.
Like our skin, leather needs to breathe as well. Do not store your Remmen in a plastic bag or any nonporous covers, which may result in mould growth. Cover with breathable cloth such as cotton sheets when storing.
Cleaners that contain alcohol, turpentine, and mineral spirits must never be used on your Remmen.
